Is India’s 35 Dollar Tablet Indian?

Based on a report by AndroidOS, the much famed over-hyped Indian tablet that was supposed to be sold for 35 Dollars isn’t Indian. Well, if it’s not Indian and yet it’s up for sale for as cheap as $35, what could be the possible origin of that tablet? Yes, you guessed it right, China!

The Chinese product comes by the name of Speedpad or PWS700HA and is manufactured by Hivision. The image below, courtesy of AndroidOS, can be seen to compare both the tablets.

It is speculated, the Chinese product which has been priced around 100 USD is being bought in bulk by the Indian government and being set to sold for subsidized prices for publicity.

The tablet has been marketed as the pride of India and a major break-through technologically coming straight from the minds from the smartest colleges of the country. Perhaps, a strategy to improve image of the colleges at India, if the reports by AndroidOS are correct.

Liquid-Cooled Xbox 360 PC Hybrid is Every Gamer’s Dream

Origin PC, known for stuffing their PCs with high-end gaming equipment are now back with this bad-ass liquid-cooled Xbox 360.

While you can configure your baby just right to your needs, the Big O comes with a start up configuration of Intel Core i7 930 processor overclocked to 4.9GHz, dual NVidia GTX480 graphics cards, and 6GB of Corsair Dominator memory at 1600 MHz. And of course they have fit an Xbox 360 slim into this big-ass gaming machine.

Origin packages this with a liquid cooling system that keep your processor, motherboard and video cards running at a temperature optimized for performance.

As insane as it may sound, this is every gamer’s dream and dreams don’t always come true considering it would cost you about $7,669 for starters configuration.

Dev Team Warns from Updating to iOS 4.1

The day is finally here when Apple will be rolling out the iOS 4.1 to all the users through itunes. You sure are going to lose your jailbreak and unlock as you update since there’s no possible way to revert the baseband back. Hence you can possibly end up losing your phone forever unless the dev team releases the tools for iOS 4.1 which of course could take plenty of time.

Dev team states

Please stay away from this 4.1 release until a safe jailbreak procedure is developed and released.

Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) User Interface Video Leaked

While the launch of IE9 is only 8 days away, someone has managed to provide an exclusive sneak peak to softpedia. The source of the video claims that they have had their hands on the official beta version of the IE9 installer. While they haven’t leaked the installer yet, they have made this demo video and publicized it.

This seems to be a legit video, since the launch is only a few days away now which means Microsoft has probably already wrapped up the pre-beta build if not the public beta release.

As the PSJailbreak mod chip released, everyone was concerned about just one thing: 100 Euros. No one wants to throw away that kind of money when they know Sony could pretty much make it unusable anytime soon.

But why buy a PSJailbreak mod chip worth 100 Euros [$169] to jailbreak your PS3 when you could simply download the files of PSGroove on any USB development board (AVR HW) of your choice?

Yes, the open source PSGroove has been made available. Just copy the files down to USB development board (AVR HW) and follow the instructions here to jailbreak.

Surprisingly Bad Performance of Flash on Android [Video]

Everyone knows there’s been a drawback about Apple idevices that they don’t let you run flash content on it. That alone makes Android devices a better bet when compared. That’s one of the reasons, which everyone thinks about before buying their smartphone considering most of the video streaming providers are flash based. To watch them on idevices you either need HTML5 support or native apps.

However, the performance of flash on Android is surprisingly bad, which doesn’t make it quite ahead in competition with Apple when it comes to flash.

The video has been compiled by NewTeevee. Flash has been tested on Nexus one with 1 Ghz of processor and a WiFi connection of 25-Mbps. So, it’s neither phone nor connection causing the problems.
