Create Free WordPress Themes With Easy Software, Artisteer

There is a whole lot of bloggers out there who really don’t know much development and designing because most of them want to write and blog only. However, it’s a need for everyone to customize their blogs the way they like it. They can now create WordPress themes for free in a designer mode with no technical or coding knowledge with “Artisteer“.

Artisteer lets you create themes for Joomla, WordPress and Drupal. With Artisteer you can create cool looking high quality themes and can even sell them. However, Artisteer is not a free software and unless you register it, it watermarks your images with “trial” keywords.

Microsoft's Silverlight 3 launched

Microsoft has officially launched Silverlight 3 now. Its an RIA (Rich Internet Application) with a scope somewhat similar to Adobe Flash. The new version features better video and audio quality. It features hadware accelerated H.264 video support and AAC audio decoding. More formats have been introduced and stronger content protection and encryption has been implemented. You can read more about its features at silverlight’s official site. Silverslight 3 will be demonstrated on WPC at new orleans from 13th-16th july along with other products including windows 7, MS office 2010 etc.

Check Your Site’s Uptime & Downtime

When I started blogging for the first time, the big challenge for me was to make a compromise between money and reliable hosting. I obviously wanted to buy a cheaper hosting at first but not at the cost of losing traffic and facing downtimes. One important and free service that I used then was SiteUptime to make sure my host doesn’t give me downtimes. SiteUptime monitors your site all the time and in case of downtimes it informs you at once via email or SMS. Moreover, SiteUptime sends regular monthly reports with downtime and uptime in terms of percentage for that month. It is one of those services I can’t live without. SiteUptime works on the following principle

Multiple monitoring servers around the world run protocol based tests on your website at specific intervals (every 2, 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes) 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year to ensure that your customers and users can reach your website. If more than one location detects a connection failure, an email or SMS alert is sent to you.

Create Professional Logos with an Easy Tool

There are hundreds and thousands of brands coming each day and they need to represent themselves with a logo. While creating professional logos is not a child’s play and requires a lot of creativity and expertise, TLC (The Logo Creator) by Laughing Bird still provides you with a way to create professional logos by emending their templates. You can use easy filters to add effects which require no professional skills. Apart from logos, you can do all other graphics too by using their effects library. TLC doesn’t only allow you to create logos but lets you sell them too. I highly recommend this tool to newbies. The software will come with limited sets of logos initially but you can download more logo sets through torrents. You may find more torrents here.

Unblock & Access Facebook & Youtube in China

Facebook once again has been blocked in China due to Urumqi clashes. The government is keeping checks on all the traffic that comes in and goes out of the country and that travels inside the country. AllFacebook has more to say about the service getting blocked in China. There are lots of proxy sites which you still might use to gain access but China’s government is really strict about it and keeps all the checks and these sites ultimately gets blocked. The best solution here is to use JonDonym Jap. This is one of the best tools that I have ever used to go anonymous.

The JonDonym/AN.ON technology is based on the principle of multiple (layered) encryption, distribution and processing. This procedure does not only protect your internet activities from being observed by third parties (against your access provider, WLAN hackers, advertising services and websites), but also against observation by the individual JonDonym providers themselves (against JonDonym service operators and their billing providers).

Download Every Possible Audio & Video Stream Through Internet Download Manager (IDM)

Let’s be honest! half of my life was spent downloading download managers. I have tried alomst everything till now but never came across anything like IDM. I’ve tried loads of download managers the earliest ones being Download Accelerator Pro (DAP) and GoZilla. Later I moved to Star downloader and it couldn’t work up to my expectation so ended up using Net Transport by Xi-soft. During the course of changing download managers the one that really got to me was IDM. With IDM I have witnessed 8x speed a lot more than I got with any other download manager. IDM provided me with 16 threads each one accelerating the speed. I’ve acquired speed up to 600 KB/Sec while my regular download gave me 80 KB/Sec. Coming to the best part, IDM automatically picks almost all the audio and video streams as soon as you play them. This includes snatching media from all major sites like Facebook, Soundclick, YouTube etc. With IDM you don’t need another Firefox based plug-in to download files but you can snatch media from any browser. Highly recommended to my readers.

Recover Your GMail Password Via Cell-Phone Now

When it comes to cool features, Google is always at the lead. Google announces an another cool feature at its GMail blog that now you can recover your GMail passwords through your cell-phone. Just go through your password-recovery options and enter your cell phone number there. Next time you forget the pass just provide it with your email at the password recovery page and it will text you the recovery code. What Google didn’t mention on their blog is that you can use this feature no matter whatever country you reside in. Seems like the Google-season is going to throw news at us each moment :D

Google Launches "Free Images" Search

With the evolution of the blogging culture, the copyrights infringement increased proportionally. It became usual to use others’ images and text on your blog without explicit permission. With this Google came up with another innovative technology for the bloggers who might want to use the images yet comply with the rules. Google now presents you to search for “Free Images” online which authors or photographers allowed Google to index under the free category. This also enable and help the artists who want to promote their work online.

5 Firefox Plugins to Enhance Your Facebook Experience

Being a Firefox fan, I am always on the look out for some cool Firefox plug-ins. Today I will be sharing a few Firefox plug-ins for Facebook, which Facebook-ers should seriously interpret as “5 reasons to shift to Firefox”.

Facebook Video:

Who likes to see videos on youtube when you have better quality videos on facebook? And what about those videos of yours with your friends? There are too much of the cool videos at Facebook which users generally can’t download because Facebook doesn’t allow its users to export videos from the site. “This plug-in adds the feature that facebook refuses to implement” says Mike Medley the developer. Besides downloading, the add-on also allows you to convert, customize and embed videos. You can download the plug-in here.

For Internet Explorer and other browsers you may have to go through this long method.

Download Helper:

I love music from the genre of metal and classical rock. And one of my favorite things to do on the internet is to rip music from facebook and myspace streams. Download helper lets you download songs, audios and videos from facebook and other streaming networks. You just need to play the file and it will show you a download icon along. Download here.

FacePAD: Facebook Photo Album Downloader:

Who doesn’t like to download photo albums in a jiffy instead of saving each image one by one? FacePAD allows you to download all kind of photo albums you have privileges on just with click of a button. Download here.

Boost for Facebook:

Boost for Facebook is to customize your Facebook with over 300 skins, 30+ customizations and a lot of other effects and features like roll-over pictures. Download here.

Facebook Toolbar:

I am not a big fan of toolbars, so listing this one at the end. Facebook toolbar provides you with great opportunity to Facebook with an app like we usually do at twitter. With the toolbar you can search, stay notified, connect with friends and share content. Download here.
